Mizuno Wave Sky Review

When I got news that I would be testing out the new Wave Sky running shoes from Mizuno, I was stoked to say the least. I have been a fan of Mizuno shoes for quite some time now and I was super impressed with my first pair of Mizuno's (Wave Inspire 12) that I've ever owned.

I typically run and workout in neutral support shoes, or weightlifting shoes for olympic weightlifting, but I love stability support shoes like the Wave Inspire 12 for days when I want a bit more cushioning. Those days for me would be days when I do longer distance running, or on days when I am doing a lot of plyometric work and heavy loaded leg days.

Most days a neutral support shoe works just fine for me, which brings me to the new Mizuno Wave Sky shoes. 😍

For the first couple of times, I wore these beauties for cardio and strength training in the home gym and while I was out and about running errands. I instantly loved the slight bounce it had while wearing them. I really knew I was in love with the Wave Sky when I was able to take them out to one of my favorite training spots on a beautiful hot Sunday and somewhat of an active rest day from intense training for some hiking, light stretching and easygoing steady state cardio, which included walking and stairs.

Maximum cushioning meets maximum comfort in the new Wave Sky shoe, built for neutral runners. A full length U4icX midsole works in harmony with new cloudwave technology for a plush and lively ride. The bouncing effect makes for an amazing experience with my runs and workouts. I love that I can get the feel of maximum cushioning that you would see in a stability shoe in a running shoe that is made for neutral runners.

The Wave Sky is true to size in my opinion and experience. I wear a women's 9.5 in running shoes and they fit my feet perfectly no matter what type of socks I am wearing― thick or thin. The color options are great, but I wish they had more options to offer for this shoe.

My overall thoughts on the Wave Sky.... they make a great shoe for more than just runners. Even though the shoe is geared towards runners... it's a fantastic shoe that will work amazingly well for any activity or sport and even casual wear while you are out and about.
