Transformation photo. This body is transforming and I am so proud!
The month of April was a slow month for me. The scale was at a halt for most of the month, during the times I decided to weigh myself. Towards the end of the month the scale moved, FINALLY! I wanted to see 222 lbs on the scale during weigh-in, but I didn't have my hopes up. Unfortunately, it didn't happen and that's okay! At least I still made the scale move for the month of April even if it was in the last week of the month and only 5 lbs.

I was honestly preparing myself to tell you all that the scale didn't move at all for that month, but things changed last minute!! I was shocked, to say the least. I thought I might have been hitting a plateau. When I looked at my info for the entire month, I felt that it was most likely my lack of training. I had to take more rest days than I would have liked, but my body needed it, so there really wasn't a whole lot that I could have done or changed. I did the right thing by resting when I needed to, even if it was more often.

Here's to moving on to a new month! I am hoping my body will let me train a little harder this month. I am feeling stronger and I am learning of new ways to keep my nagging knee pain in check, so I can keep training while minimizing my risk for injuries.

In other news and updates.....

I have been slacking with posts on the blog for the past week because I have been so busy with spring cleaning, mom things, the fit expo and life in general. That's why I am just getting around to posting this post.

The Chicago Lozilu Mud Run on May 9th has been cancelled due to low registration numbers. When I heard the news, I was really bummed.

I attended TheFitExpo Chicago this past weekend and had a blast. I will have the post up soon!

I was able to review the Polar A300 and I will have that post for you all tomorrow.

Those of you that follow me on social media most likely already know this news, but for those of you that haven't heard the good news.... In March, I found out that I was selected to be on the Pearl Izumi U.S. Run Champions Team and my welcome race kit came about two weeks ago. I will have a more detailed post soon.
