Dirty Girl Mud Run Chicago

For the past few weeks, I have already started thinking about goals for next year, while I continue making new goals for this year. I have decided to run my first 10K this August!! I have not announced this news anywhere else as of yet. That’s right, you’re the first know! In April 2016, I will be taking part in a challenge where you do a 5K race in the evening and the following day, you do 10K. So in order to get myself ready for that event, I figured why not start with two 5K's in one day! Oh did I mention one of them will be a mud run obstacle course?!!

On June 27, I will be running my first Dirty Girl Mud Run, at Hoffman Estates. This will be my 2nd, 5K of the day! I’m really nervous, excited and proud to be taking on this challenge. Staying true to the Dirty Girl Mud Run spirit, I want to be an inspiration and motivation for other women out there as they too take on life challenges and the Dirty Girl Mud Run. This is after all, what Dirty Girl is all about!

The Dirty Girl Mud Run is a non-competitive, untimed 3.1 mile women's-only mud obstacle course with 16 obstacles. There are 4 new ones this year like "HOT MESS" where you leap over fire. I must say... I am pretty excited to do that one! With Dirty Girl, there is a place for all women! Dirty Girl empowers women and welcomes women of all fitness levels and athletic ability.

Not only is this event a day full of muddy fun, but it’s an event with a purpose. Dirty Girl has chosen Bright Pink as their charity partner. Bright Pink is the only national non-profit focused on the prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer in young women, while providing support for high-risk individuals. Their mission is to save women’s lives from breast and ovarian cancer by getting them to live proactively at a young age.

June will be here before I know it and team Huff ‘n Puff to Buff ‘n Tough will be kicking butt at The Dirty Girl Mud Run! I can't wait to experience Dirty Girl!!! It's going to be a great time!!

Disclosure: I have received a comped entry to this event in exchange for posting about the event and reviews of the individual race experiences.
